WIDENING PROJECT, BRIDGE REPLACEMENT COMPLETE ON HUGUENOT TRAIL/ROBIOUS ROAD (ROUTE 711) IN CHESTERFIELD/POWHATAN
Completed project will improve safety and reduce congestion

SOUTH CHESTERFIELD — Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews recently completed a widening project on Huguenot Trail/Robious Road (Route 711) in Chesterfield and Powhatan counties.

The $19.6 million project increased the capacity of the road from two to four lanes for safer travel and reduced congestion between the Route 288 intersection and the Chesterfield/Powhatan county line. Bicycle lanes were added within project limits, and the bridge over Bernards Creek was replaced and fitted with sidewalk.
