Overnight Lane Closures Planned on I-66 East in Dunn Loring Next Week, February 6-11, for Continued Overhead Bridge Work
FAIRFAX – I-66 East approaching Cedar Lane in Vienna will be reduced to a single travel lane during the overnight hours next week, Sunday, February 6, through Friday, February 11. The closures are necessary for continued overhead bridge work, installation of bridge beams for a new access ramp to the future I-66 Express Lanes, and demolition of the remaining old Gallows Road Bridge pier along eastbound I-66. On Monday through Friday nights, the single eastbound travel lane will be diverted behind barrier onto the old general-purpose lanes. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Drivers traveling on I-66 East in this area these nights should expect delays and consider using alternate routes.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
