Virtual Public Information Meeting July 29 for Village of Lucketts Safety Improvements
Participate and give feedback online; learn more at virginiadot.org/Lucketts

LUCKETTS – The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a virtual public information meeting Thursday, July 29 on planned safety improvements along Route 15 (James Monroe Highway) in the Village of Lucketts.

The proposed safety and operational improvements include adding new sidewalks, enhancing the pedestrian crossing adjacent to the northern Lucketts Elementary School entrance, striping a new crosswalk with pedestrian signals at the Stumptown Road (Route 662) intersection and modifying the right-turn lane to Lucketts Road (Route 662).

Get Involved

In lieu of an in-person meeting, VDOT invites residents and travelers to learn more, participate in the virtual meeting and give feedback in the following ways through Monday, Aug. 9:  

  • Attend the Thursday, July 29 online Register at virginiadot.org/Lucketts or to participate without registering in listen-only mode, call 866-692-4530 (use access code 161-319-0436). The project team will make a short presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m. and answer questions for about an hour after the presentation. In case an alternate date is needed, the meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 16.
  • Provide comments via the online survey or by email to [email protected].
  • Mail comments to Mr. Hamid Misaghian, P.E., Virginia Department of Transportation, 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030.

The project is financed with federal and state funding.

Meeting materials and the presentation will be available online at virginiadot.org/Lucketts, including the recorded presentation after the meeting.
