ROUTE 646 (TACKETTS MILL ROAD) NOW OPEN IN STAFFORD COUNTY
Emergency repairs following a drainage pipe failure last week are complete
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 646 (Tacketts Mill Road) in Stafford County has reopened to traffic between Route 612 (Heflin Road) and 645 (Dunbar Road).
The road was closed to through traffic on Friday, March 22, for emergency repairs after a drainage pipe failure.
The Virginia Department of Transportation and its contractor installed a new 36-inch drainage pipe and restored the road’s travel surface.
An average of 1,400 vehicles a day travel on Tacketts Mill Road between Dunbar Road and Heflin Road.
